About Jelly Merge
Jelly Merge is a free number merge puzzle full of cute, squishy jellies. A machine at the top holds the next jelly, you choose a column, and the jelly drops into the box. When two jellies with the same number touch, they join into a bigger one: 2 + 2 makes 4, 4 + 4 makes 8, and the numbers keep doubling all the way up. Plan your drops well and you can set off long chains of merges.
Every number has its own jelly
Each value has its own shape and color, so you can spot matches before you even read the numbers. The 2 is a green bubble, the 4 a blue cube, the 8 a pink star, the 16 an orange triangle, the 32 a purple heart and the 64 a golden hexagon, with new jellies waiting at 128, 256, 512 and beyond. The conveyor belt at the bottom shows the next steps on the way to your goal.
Reach the goal and level up
Every level has a goal number. The first goal is 16; make it and confetti rains down, you level up and the goal doubles to 32, then 64, 128 and higher. The board keeps going between levels, so a good setup helps you later too. The game ends when every column is full and the next jelly has nowhere to go, so try to keep the board tidy.
How to play
- Mouse or touch: click or tap a column to drop the jelly there.
- Keyboard: move with the left and right arrow keys and drop with Space, Enter or the down arrow, or press 1 to 5 to drop straight into a column.
- Look at the Next box to see which jelly comes after the current one.
- A full column still accepts a jelly if the top jelly has the same number: they merge on the spot.
Tips for big merges
- Keep your biggest jellies in one corner and build smaller ones next to them, so each merge can lead to the next.
- Use the Next box to plan two moves ahead.
- Avoid stacking a small jelly on top of a big one in the middle of the board, because it can block that big jelly for a long time.
- One drop can trigger several merges in a row, and every merge in a chain scores more points.
A puzzle that practices math
Every merge shows the sum on screen, such as 16 + 16 = 32, so players see doubling and powers of two again and again while they play. That makes Jelly Merge a relaxed way for younger kids to get comfortable with bigger numbers and for older players to plan ahead. Your game is saved automatically, so you can close the page and continue later, and your best score is kept in your browser. Jelly Merge was made by Yup7, runs on Chromebooks, laptops, tablets and phones, and needs no download or account. Find more number games in our Math Games category.
