Where you go and what you collect

The core loop is simple: find nests in each of the 12 unique areas, pick up eggs, and return them to your base so they can be hatched. Hatching grows your collection of 120-plus animals and the game organizes them into 12 rarity classes, so some eggs are much more valuable or sought-after than others.

Train to outrun guardians

There are 14 exercise machines in the game that increase your running speed. Training on those machines is explicitly described as a way to run faster, which makes escaping guardians easier. Focusing some time on the machines early will help you survive longer raids and reach your base more reliably when you are carrying an egg.
