About Four In A Row
Four In A Row is a free version of the classic connect four game. Two players take turns dropping balls into a grid, and the first one to line up four of their own in a row wins. The row can run across, up and down or diagonally. The rules take seconds to learn, but beating a good opponent takes real planning.
Play a Friend or the Computer
In Four In A Row, you can play against a friend on the same device or take on the computer when you are on your own. Playing the computer is a good way to practice before you challenge someone else.
Simple Controls
Everything is done with the mouse, or with a tap on a touch screen. Pick a column, drop your ball and watch where it lands. There is nothing else to learn.
Think Two Moves Ahead
The trick is to watch both your own lines and your opponent's. Every move can build toward your four while also blocking theirs. Good players set up two threats at once, so the other side can only block one of them.
Winning Tips
Claim the middle columns early, since they give you the most ways to make four. If your opponent has three in a row, block it before you do anything else. Try not to fill a square that lets your opponent drop a winning ball right on top of it.
