About Smashling

Smashling is a physics-based knockdown game where you pull back, aim, and launch a projectile to topple stacked structures and free the creature trapped inside. Levels use real physics — no scripted collapses — and you earn up to three stars by clearing each scene in as few shots as possible.

How Smashling's materials behave

Three materials change how structures respond when you hit them: wood breaks cleanly, stone absorbs impact and tends to bounce, and glass shatters and can trigger chain reactions. Knowing which parts of the build are glass, wood or stone tells you what to expect when a piece is struck.

Aiming and launching controls you actually use

Drag the projectile back, use the trajectory line to aim, and release to launch. Your job is to knock down the structure so the target inside is destroyed or freed. Clear each level in as few shots as possible to improve the star rating, with three stars available for the most efficient clears.

What a single clever shot looks like

The design encourages thinking about collapse, not rapid-fire hits. A well-placed strike on a supporting piece of wood, or on a pane of glass that will shatter into supporting elements, can bring the whole build down. Stone will often stop momentum if you hit it directly, so the smartest plays avoid striking heavy stone unless you can use it to ricochet into a weak support.

Practical strategy to get more stars

  • Scan the structure before you shoot and locate the weakest supports. Hitting a support is often better than hitting the target creature itself.
  • Prioritize glass where it can cause a chain reaction. A single glass break can remove multiple supports in one shot.
  • Aim to transfer momentum through wood into stone only when that will flip or topple parts of the build, rather than stop your shot.
  • Use the trajectory line to plan arcs that strike supports at angles, not just head-on, to create more collapse.
  • Because the game rewards fewer shots, think several moves ahead and try to set up a multi-part collapse with one launch.
