Since you design the map, place obstacles where your tanks can take a hull-down position. Set stealth levels and hiding spots for units you want to keep out of sight, and remember that night and weather cut everyone's line of sight. Heavier vehicles can push lighter ones aside, so think about which units you send down narrow roads first.
