Each map is a square grid representing a field or other location that can be populated with buildings, roads and terrain features. Units can be moved around the map by giving them waypoints and setting their speed, stealth level or a specific hiding spot. They are also able to follow the direction of enemy units that they have spotted. The game uses a realistic physics engine, allowing for tanks to seek a hull-down position behind obstacles and for vehicles to push lighter ones out of the way.
